My name is Teja.
I'm a Product Designer at RBC Wealth Management with a Master's in User Experience Design from the University of Toronto π. But my story didn't start in designβit began in the world of business consulting.
For over 4 years, I was a Product Consultant at Freshworks, helping enterprise clients solve their biggest headaches and learning what makes businesses tick π¨π»βπΌ. During that time, I discovered something that changed everything: the magic happens when you understand both what people need and what makes business sense.
βThat realization led me to make a bold career shift into UX design. What started as "wait, why is this so confusing to use?" quickly became a deep passion π for creating experiences that just... work. You know that feeling when an app does exactly what you expect? That's what I'm after.
I believe great design is invisible. πΆβπ«οΈ
βThe best compliment I can get is when someone uses something I designed and doesn't even think about itβthey just get their job done. Whether I'm untangling complex workflows or building design systems, my goal is always to make the complicated feel effortless.
Fintech is my playground. π
βI love the challenge of making financial products feel human. Money stuff can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. I've worked on everything from mobile banking to wealth management tools, always asking "how do we make this less scary and more helpful?"
Research is my best friend. π«
I'm that person who genuinely gets excited about user interviews. There's nothing quite like that moment when someone shares a frustration you never considered, and suddenly everything clicks into place.
I think like a business person, design like a user advocate. π«‘
β My consulting days taught me that beautiful design means nothing if it doesn't solve real problems. I love being the bridge between "what users need" and "what the business can actually do."
β
When I'm not designing, you'll find me on a mission to try every restaurant in Toronto πΏ (it's a big city, so this might take a while), getting way too invested in action movies, or exploring the city's trails π₯Ύ. I'm convinced that the best design inspiration comes from just paying attention to how the world around you worksβor doesn't work.
Currently based in Toronto πΌ and always up for solving design puzzles π§©that make people's lives a little easier π.
